Two Thirds Sky

Laura completed a dance degree at Liverpool John
Moores University in 2000, and has spent the past
twelve years working with a number of professional
and community organisations. In 2005 Laura
became a founding member of Two Thirds Sky, performing in all of the company's work to date,
including The Size of Thought (2005), Svadebka
(2007), Traits (2008), Hold (2011), Entrada (2012), Not To Scale
(2013) and most recently the film The Water Rail. In January 2009 Laura worked on a feature
for the BBC3 series Tough Guy or Chicken as a
dancer for the company.
Laura is key contemporary
technique teacher at Stella Mann College of Performing Arts, Leicester College of Performing Arts, and London Junior and Senior ballet. She also teaches technique, choreography and community practice at the University of Bedfordshire. Since 2003, Laura has worked with the Richard Alston Dance Company delivering workshops across the country. In 2008 Laura co- authored and delivered 'Bright Sparks', a dance resource pack for primary teachers launched by Youth Dance England. She has recently graduated with a Post Graduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education, which has enriched her pedagogic understanding of dance at Conservatoire, Further and Higher education level.
